Online Security Online credit card orders are submitted to our server
using PayPal’s 128-bit, SSL encryption. We does not get the credit card details,
they are kept by Paypal Furthermore, printed customer invoices and e-mails
from Firestorm Hobbies will never contain a customer's complete credit card number.
Order Status The status of an order can be viewed online for
all transactions submitted through our website. Simply login to your account and
follow the instructions on the screen. The status of orders submitted via
mail/phone/fax can be obtained by contacting us directly. Shipping
Shipping charges are calculated on the weight of your shipment and its destination,
so you should pay the correct amount of shipping and no more. At checkout you
can choose to pay by credit card, cheque, money order or COD. If paying by
credit card you will be redirected to Paypal to complete the transaction. Once
an order is shipped, it is up to the carrier to deliver the product. We will
not be able to stop any shipment once it is shipped. If the carrier loses the
package, they will have to put a tracer on the package. We will not be able
to ship out replacement packages until the carrier confirms that the package is
lost (or will not be delivered to its destination) and that they will reimburse
us. If a package is returned to us because no one was available to sign for
it or the address was input incorrectly at the time the customer entered the order,
the customer will also be charged to ship it out a second time. Domestic
Shipping All orders are shipped by Australia Post, additional insurance
or registered post can be arranged.
International Shipping For
international customers, orders are shipped by Airmail and can be insured at your
request.International packages will be identified on customs forms as "hobby
supplies" and/or "scale models". The customer is responsible
for any and all import customs fees. Most orders are shipped within 24-48
hours from the time an order is placed, when all items are in stock. However,
occassionally there are circumstances which can delay shipments, such as discrepencies
with the information on the invoice. In other cases, items may not be in stock
and must be obtained from our supplier, which can also delay shipment of an order
(see Availability). Due to such circumstances, we cannot guarantee when your
order is shipped out. However, we will keep you informed if delays are anticipated
and the status of the order can be tracked online at our website. Website
& Newsletters Firestorm Hobbies attempts to be as accurate as possible
in our literature, website content, and pricing. However, we can not guarantee
that the product descriptions/specifications, pricing, or any other content
in our literature or on our site is accurate, complete, or current. In the event
that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical, photographic,
or technical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers,
Firestorm Hobbies shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for
products listed at the incorrect price.
Pricing Once you log
in to Firestorm you will see two prices, firstly Australian Dollars and then US Dollars(in Brackets) We update exchange rates every day, so you will be charged
no more than necessary. Because we order products in many different currencies,
we must occasionally re-evaluate our prices to reflect any significant fluctuations
in currency exchange rates. Sometimes this will cause the prices on certain product
lines to increase, and sometimes it will cause them to decrease. For this
reason, all prices are subject to change without prior notice. Availablity Firestorm
displays all items including items that are not in stock but are readily available
within 1-2 weeks. If you order includes items that are not in stock please
specify at checkout if you want your order shipped or wait until all items are
available
Additionally, some products are simply not cost effective for
us to stock but can be acquired when requested by a customer. Also we can obtain
items that are not on our website, email us with code and description. In
those instances, and at the sole discretion of Firestorm Hobbies, a customer may
be required to pre-pay a non-refundable portion of the item's selling price, prior
to us placing an order with our suppliers. This is done to protect ourselves in
situations where the customer cancels such an order after we've obtained the
specially ordered product. Such situations are rare, but can occur. Any affected
customers placing such an order (i.e., requiring pre-payment for an item) will
be notified after their order is placed. Privacy Policy Firestorm
Hobbies does not collect personally identifiable information from individuals
unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. This means that we
don't require visitors to register or provide information to us in order to view
our site. If you choose to register for our newsletter, we collect your email
address and use it only to provide the service that you have requested. If you
choose to order from us, we collect only the information necessary to process
your order and confirm your identity. If your order was placed through our website,
you can access, review and/or correct all the personally identifiable information
that we collected from you by logging in to your account. Relevant personal information
is only disclosed to involved financial institutions as required to complete
a credit card transaction. Furthermore, we do not engage in any unsolicited
e-mail marketing activities (SPAM mailings). To receive information about changes
to our product catalog and/or special offers, please subscribe to our newsletter
from the Firestorm Hobbies website. E-mail addresses acquired by Firestorm
Hobbies in any other way will only be used for the purpose intended (e.g., to
provide order status information). We do not disclose the e-mail addresses
of our customers to any other parties.
